Attraktion 2013

Which types of objects have the potential to generate a strong attraction? 

Meaningful objects do. Their relevance can stem from different sources, and their attraction works on various levels. Intensity of emotion isn't reserved for the sensation of beauty alone - and often the unconscious moves far more quickly than the mind.
This body of work demonstrates a wide range of what attraction might be: instinct and emotion, intellect and tradition. As such, each of the six pieces expresses a different facet of attraction while at the same time can be considered as part of a whole. The variety of materials and techniques chosen maximize each piece's strength and individuality. The borders between wearable, artistic and fashionable jewellery blur.
